Det finnes måter å hjelpe på, selv når du egentlig er på ferie. Her er ett eksempel: Jens Melhus og hans familie tok med seg bøker på engelsk i bagasjen da de dro på ferie til Kambodsja. Bøkene kom fra The International School of Stavanger og vel framme i Kambodsja ble bøkene sendt videre med buss til Sihanoukville, hvor de ble hentet av Alma-M sin representant.

Thank you for your generous contribution to bringing books for students and schools. Your support will allow us not only to place superior quality books in children’s hands, but also to provide teachers with the necessary skill sets and knowledge to read to children confidently and effectively. The books will improve the children’s love of reading and learning from an early age.

We still need more books for kindergartens and health care books to teach children in community centers, but since our start-up five year ago, we have already served many children from low-income families in the fishing areas, and the school has installed 1 library and trained more than 265 educators. Thanks again for generously supporting our efforts to improve children’s lives.
